2010 Sammamish High School Walk for Aidan
We had sunshine!!!
After days of "yucky" gray, rain, and wind, it was only appropriate that the weather turned beautiful to celebrate the, yet again, amazing efforts of the SHS students.
We don't have tallies or specific names of the volunteer leaders yet for the day's fundraising efforts, but we do know that the new format of 3-8pm featuring local bands was a huge success.
Thank You All!
Watch the video that SHS students created to publicize the Walk. Thanks to a speech by Solomon Olatunje, King TV's Evening Magazine featured an SHS assembly on their show.

- Many students walked, helped take tickets, man booths, run events, and handle concessions to make the event run smoothly. Sarah Reed, an SHS alumnae and past Walk co-chairman, even brought the UW Kappa Deltas to sell baked goods.

- Kelly Jennings and Jamar Adams of the Seahawks came for the second year and this year brought Justin Forsett with them. These exceptional young men were "southern" gracious and charming as they signed autographs, played soccer, and threw footballs with their fans.

- Freddy Montero of Sounders FC came with his family including his sister who goes to SHS. He signed lots of autographs and was a HUGE hit with Aidan when he gave him a signed Montero shirt and a Sounders autographed soccer ball.
- The self-described "Reptile Guy with One Eye" was here agin to the delight and trepidation of all. The kids were once again fascinated with the "creepy, crawly, critters."
