2011 Sammamish High School Walk for Aidan
"After days of "yucky" gray, rain, and wind, it was only appropriate that the weather turned beautiful to celebrate the, yet again, amazing efforts of the SHS students."Thank You All!
That was last year's weather comment after the walk.
While we didn't get much sun this year, and we've had MONTHS of yuck rather than days, at least it didn't rain other than a few drips. That didn't change the nature of this amazing day, however.

Those attending grabbed barbecue and listened or danced to music provided by Tom Eddy and the Po’Okela Street Band.
Our favorite Seahawk, Kelly Jennings, came again this year and brought his family. Kelly always makes this day more special and we look forward to seeing him each year!
Freddy Montero of Sounders FC came again with his family, friends, and fellow Sounder, Lamar Neagle. Thanks for coming, especially on a day when you have a match! Go Sounders!
We don't have tallies yet for the day's fundraising efforts, but we do know that the Walk was a huge success. Thanks to all the student and staff volunteers who manned booths, ran robots, walked (or ran), and made things happen. Special thanks to organizers Emily Cummins, Jill Hunt, Morgan Akana, Isaac Wilson and staff members Ian Duncan, Adrienne Curtis, Danielle Lynch, Ken Kendrick (of barbecue fame), and Mike Bussing.
Also thanks to our business sponsors: Molly Moon's Ice Cream, Chipotle, and Jamba Juice.
Clayton, "the reptile guy, was here agin to the delight and trepidation of both kids and grownups. His boa was the hit of the show.
Aidan's family and friends especially enjoyed the day.
